Boy trouble help pls

So a month ago I started to talk to this guy and we would hang out and see eachother for the past month and two days ago I told him how I left about him and he said he didn’t feel the same way because we just started to talk and now I feel like I ruined things with him but I actually like him and I feel like I fell into him way to fast and now I kinda want to text him and ask him if he would want to still get to know eachother and see where things go from there or just leave things how they are but I got along with him I thought we had a connection between us help pls I feel like I should of never said anything too soon or if I caught him off guard. Help 😭😭
