Any May ‘18 babies not really talking?

My son will be 18 months on the 18th and all he says is Mama. He follows commands and points and shows us what he wants. He babbles but no real talking yet. Anyone else?

My girl has a small handful of words she knows how to say. Cheese, dada and no. Otherwise she can sign water, more and thank you. That is what my other two were like around this age also. I think about 20+ months is when my kids vocabulary started to explode.

Yup. He understands everything. He can point to his nose, tummy, toes, hair, etc., and he can point them out on others. He will bring a thing to a place or person if you ask him to. If you remind him to say please he signs it. But not a lot of words. We’re going to bring it up with the pediatrician at the visit next week. My sister is a pede, and she suggested we might want to do some speech therapy.

Mines just turned 18 month on the 10th 
She knows mum dad nan(great nan) noonoo(other nan)bird bin bee dog meow cat woof minum minum(milk..think from me saying in a minute😂)

Yes no will shake head .. all expresively but only very rarely uses them would rather mand by pointing and babbling at  things till you figure it out lol or uses hands like idk where is it unless she gets super pissed off shell rip out words 
Her receptive language is really good understands pretty much everything you say and will follow 2 step instructions midwife told me its normal and shes just being lazy because we fall  for her pointing cause its quicker lol

My daughter is starting to say more, she was born in May also, and I think having an older brother helps, but my son didn’t fully talk til he was almost three, not delayed or anything just knew that we would communicate without words one way or another;he has slight hearing loss but they said it wouldn’t of made a huge difference. He’s three now and doesn’t shut up haha

My 17 month old doesn’t really y’all, she talks gibberish alllll day long she is really loud with the jibber jabber but when it comes to saying words she says hi, no, oh no! And T randomly when we watch the wheel of fortune but that’s really it.

My son says "uh oh" and thats basically it. I am not concerned, they are still very young!

My son doesn’t really talk either. He won’t talk on command but we have heard him say uh-oh, mama, dada, and baba (which he doesn’t even use anymore) but other than the very rare occasion that he’ll say those words, he just makes makes noises with his mouth closed 🤷‍♀️ he does point a lot and he know what we are talking about or saying. I’ve been worried about it but a lot of my friends and family have said that it’s completely normal for some kids to not talk at this stage

My son will be 18 months in a few days and “talks” gibberish mostly. He does know a handful of words but prefers to talk gibberish. Every now and again he says a new word that I didn’t know he could say but isn’t really consistent. 18 months is still pretty young though so I wouldn’t worry unless his pediatrician is.
