I wouldn't. Growing up I had to do it myself and if I didn't I got the rake. Basically my mom would rake everything on my floor to my doorway and if I didn't pick it up then she would throw it all away. Motivated me to keep it clean lol

I have a laminated list of what needs to be done. Most of the time he half asses it anyways and shovels everything out of sight 🙄🤪 I deep clean it once a month or once every other to get all the garbage and papers and organize toys. I can’t stand clutter. He’s in 2nd grade. Does a good job with laundry and making his bed

i deep clean my kids rooms probably once a month, when they are at school, but day to day cleaning/tidying is 100% their job.

My mom definitely helped us or gave it a once over now and then. Especially if I was overwhelmed, she would help me focus on a bit at a time - first the clothes, then the dusting, then the floor. It was sometimes physical help and sometimes just directions. Mostly we did it ourselves.
