99.5 worry?

He feels hot to the tough and he’s 99.5. I was told that 100.4 is ER worthy . Should I be concerned by a 99.5?

Was he over dressed? I was told if he feels warm remove a layer wait a little bit and then check again.
I hope he's ok!

Sometimes it's about other symptoms that coincide with the fever: appetite, diaper frequency, lethargy, etc. Call your doc and describe the fever and any other areas of concern.

Take the temp rectal and if it reaches 100 call your doc or go to the emergency room. 
My dr says  a 100 temp is not really dangerous for an infant but it is usually the only symptom of something underlying that could be a lot worse.

I’m pretty sure if babe has a fever before 3 months you should take them in. You may want to double check that, though !
