Solid smiley

Is a solid smiley on an OPK indication that you are ovulating THAT DAY or just within 2 days? I got a solid smiley on the 16th this month. It said it was my "peak" day. So did I not ovulate until the 17th or 18th? I'm trying to figure out which day to count as ovulation!
