Help! “Bedtime” takes 3 hours!!
We do 90 minute wake windows all day for naps which works pretty well. Her last nap is 5-6pm and we start our bedtime routine at 7:00 with the goal of getting her to sleep by 8:00.
At 7:00 we do a bath, then go into her room with dim lights, read a book and then do a long feed. That feed tends to last at least 30-40 minutes so that brings us to 8:00. Then starts the neverending attempts to put her down - she cries, we rock her back to sleep, cries, up, back down, eventually she cries until I feed her again - another 30-40 minute long feed that brings us to 9:30pm then I rock her back to sleep and eventually get her down for the night around 10:00pm. Once she’s down she sleeps well - only waking up once until morning - but this three hour bedtime thing is too much! I need a few minutes in the evening to get stuff done! Advice? Or is the late bedtime just how it is and I should stop trying to fight it?
