Croup can suck it...

We had started the Ferber method after her cold appeared to be to clearing up minus a small dry cough and it was starting to go well.. She didn't cry for long at all and only had to do a few check ins and she was putting herself to sleep fairly easily and quickly at bedtime and for naps. She slept 10 hours straight after 2 nights. So she was catching on pretty well and quickly.. Then croup hit... And uuuuggghhh... I feel so bad for this little nugget and I haven't been able to sleep because of her breathing and coughing sounding so scary and she obviously can't sleep well because she's in so much discomfort.. She was up crying for an hour last night because she woke herself up coughing and her crying only made her coughing worse. I hope my little noodle gets better soon cuz I can't stand to see her like this and mama would love some sleep again finally.. I feel defeated because I feel like our progress just all flew out the window with her being sick now but I know this too shall pass and once she's better we can start over. I've been rocking her to sleep because of course I want to comfort her and give her all the lovins she needs so it's put a wrench in the sleep training of course.

😭 Ugh. Croup sucks guys.

This was shortly after we got home from the doctor's office and she was in tears cuz she wasn't feeling well. She needed some snuggles and I was happy to give them ❤️
