Private scan?!

Question

For those who had a private scan due to concerns..what all does it entail? Will they be able to reassure you baby is ok?  And if not, do they suggest seeing a provider. 
I'm at a loss!

I'm in the UK and had a private scan when I thought I was 9+5. She told me I was actually 10+2, reassured me baby was fine, and we listened to heart beat. We got an information sheet with her findings, including length crown to rump and heart beat etc, two printed pictures and a CD with 15 pictures on. She also told me I have a retroverted uterus so it was a little harder to find and explained what that meant.
It cost us £50 (GBP) and was a brilliant and reassuring experience.x

Mine was super cool. She said baby was looking good. They can’t do a measurement but I told her I knew I was at 10 weeks and she said that looks right. She did tell me where my placenta was too. She said it was very close to my cervix but she thinks it will move away from it as my uterus gets bigger.
