I need foundation help!

Question

I frequently use self tanner and I am pretty fair skinned. I am having trouble matching my foundation to my tanned skin. The foundation is either too dark or too much of an orange tone and I am stressing out! I need a good like olive/tan foundation shade and a good brand to buy from! I usually don’t tan my face but if I do it doesn’t get as dark as the rest of me!!! HELP!

When I self tan, the color Neutral by Clinique’s Even Better Line matches my tan (by Loving Tan Medium shade mousse) perfectly. It’s a cool neutral with medium to full coverage, so no orange tones and it’s not cakey. It’s like $29. 
If that is out of your budget, look into L’Oréal’s Infallible Fresh Wear. It’s also a medium coverage that is very light feeling on the skin. It’s $14. Definitely my favorite drug store foundation. I’m not sure of the color I have on the top of my head (it’s 2am), but look for foundation shades with the name “cool” or “neutral” in it!
Cool = More pink/light warm tones mixed
Neutral = Not too pink, not too yellow - in between cool and warm
Warm = More orange/yellow tones mixed
