So my fiance and I recently met new couple that we have been hanging out with a decent amount.

My husband owns a lawncare company so we are comfortable enough but not rich my any means. This couple is extremely loaded. They own 8 Pet supply stores and just opened their second furniture store. They've worked hard an done amazing for themselves.

He is where my question comes in... they offered my dream to me. To send my fiance and I to Icleand. For our wedding. They have offered to pay for everything while there. Everything. Even the wedding. The catch is, they want to write up our itinerary. Be in control of everything we do while there and want photos and videos of it all. Shes the type that plans everything to the minute. I am not. I like to go with the flow and the fun of traveling for me is to find one thing after another and just go with it. See where I end up.

Yes I am incredibly, dumbfoundedly appreciative of this. It's an incredibly caring and kind gesture. But I cant help feeling that its dripping with control. The things she wants us to do are all in city, all touristy dinners and shops. Iceland is my dream because of the landscape. I dont want to go and just see another city.

Yes it's still my dream. Especially being married there. But it's not what I envisioned. I've openly said this to her and her husband and she isnt budging.

I want to kayak. I want to hike. I want to camp. I understand they have a world famous hotdog she wants a video of me eating but I've also been a vegetarian for 21 years.

Am I being ungrateful thinking this way? Should I just let these things go and attempt to enjoy it? Or will I regret every second because my dream has been forced and changed?

I'm not sure what to do. It feels strange even accepting the offer regardless of whether they could pay this 1000 times over.
