Silver lining

I woke up this morning to some spotting that I thought I was clear from now that I’m 19 weeks. I spotted my entire first trimester and it stopped around week 11. Called my doctor, made an emergency appointment, had a bunch of labs done and an ultrasound. Thank god everything looks great. I’ve felt the baby moving all day long and it’s heart rate was a strong 140. We have our anatomy scan next week but when I was there they were able to see the baby’s gender. I had already told my husband that I’d find out if they told me they could see it.

When I found out I was pregnant I so desperately wanted to surprise him but I myself was so surprised i just ran into the room with a positive test and woke him up. So now I’m able to surprise him and I’m so excited. I have a little gift bag with a couple onesies and a blanket and I’m just waiting for him to get home and open it.
