At what point do you stop going to the ER and start going to labor and delivery for issues during pregnancy?

At my hospital if you’re pregnant you automatically go to labor and delivery for everything, doesn’t matter how far along you are or anything. The ER will literally stick you in a wheelchair and have someone wheel you up to labor and delivery

The hospital where I work is 21 weeks, but where I’m delivering it is 14 weeks. It varies hospital to hospital.

At my hospital all pregnant ladies go to L&D. I have to go ER then use the phone to call a midwife to collect me.

I work in L&D. It’s 20 weeks here for obstetrical things. 
So if you come into the ER with abdominal pain, they send you up to us. If you go to the ER with a sore throat, they see you down there.

There's a sign at the er where I am that says if you're 20 weeks or over, go straight to the admin desk at the er (if you go in those doors instead of the main ones, since the main desk closes at like 8pm or something) and they take to straight up to l&d.
