Funny way to tell our friends we are pregnant?

So 2 days before we found out we are expecting,we adopted a dog (our time has always been bad 😂 ), we haven’t seen them in the last 3 months because I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep my mouth shut!

We’ve invited them round for dinner and drinks because it was my SO’s birthday last week but we don’t know how to drop it in conversation.

They didn’t know we were trying and we will be the first ones to have a baby, so not sure they will 100% believe us at first 😂

Anyone have any ideas?
