Had my membranes stripped on the 7th at 10am
Had my membranes stripped on the 7th at 10am. I went into labor that night at 11pm. I labored at home until 2am and arrived at the hospital at 3am. They had me walk for a few hours and once I was 6cm they admitted me. Around 10am I got the epidural and after that they decided I wasnt progressing fast enough so they started pitocin. I was very hesitant about the pitocin and maybe should have just gone with my instincts. They broke my water and I fell asleep. 2pm they wake me up, check my cervix and I'm complete. Time to push...ok. I pushed for an hour and a half and her head began turtling, heart rate was dropping with each push and she was recovering slowly after each contraction. They put me on oxygen and rolled me side to side but her head was halfway out and she couldnt get any further. Emergency csection- couldnt numb me fast enough so they put me under general anesthesia. Baby was given to my mom after birth while I came out of it. So thankful shes okay. On the bright side my mom was able to send a red cross message and my husband came yesterday. Hes in the Army and normally wouldn't have been able to come home from training but he gets to stay for a few days due to it being an emergency.
