Is this normal

My baby is almost 19m old & his Grandmother stayed with us (vacation kinda) for about 2 months & left today for home country.

When she was with us , he was so attached to her but isn’t showing signs of missing her once she is not here now . Is this normal?

Shouldn’t he be missing her by now ?

Meanwhile, when she left (bye at airport) my baby was sick & asleep - so he didn’t really get to say bye bye to her . However upon looking her in video call , he smiled .

Also he searched for her in our car when we went out later that evening after she left . He looked at the spot where she sits in the car & looked at me.

But at home he hasn’t really found / missed her presence . Is it too early to expect that behaviour from him?
