First time surgrey . Positive responses?

I’m having my first surgery Thursday . I found a specialist and I’m getting my Endometriosis removed. Not burned . I’m blessed to have found such an amazing doctor who I know will help me have babies in the future and take care of my issues right now. I’m extremely nervous to be put under . My biggest fear with facing surgery is being out to sleep or feeling drugs in my IV. I have high anxiety and I don’t like anything un natural :( this is facing a HUGE fear for me. I know I’ll be stronger once I over come it .. but can anyone just tell me what it’s like ? Some POSITIVE things ? I don’t wanna hear any negative experiences lol. I’ll freak out more. Just need some comfort in this time .

All went so well. My doctor was amazing and did everything he could to comfort me . Once they gave me my “happy meds” I don’t remember anything after that ! lol . He removed endo off of my ovaries , bladder , colon and uterus. He got it all and everything stayed in! He didn’t remove an ovary or anything like that . Tubes were fine as well. Recovery is pretty rough. I was SO sick for HOURS after . All damn night I was throwing up and couldn’t keep anything in. It was hard to even take pain meds . So naturally all the throwing up made it worse and I’m having trouble getting all the gas out that we pumped in me ... but I’m so ready to feel great again and get back to my normal self! I’m ready experience life without pain all the time

I have a terrible fear of bad things happening and I felt the exact same during surgery, I honestly thought something would go wrong and I wouldn’t wake up. I had awesome doctors and assistants that were so nice and casual that I felt better than I thought I would. They give you a relaxant before they put you under, for me, I don’t even remember going to sleep I don’t remember the point where they put me under. I woke up really groggy and that’s the worst part of it, not being able to wake up and just feeling SO tired, it lasts a few hours. You will be fine trust me, I had all the worries you did and everything went great. Think about how good it will be when you get it done, you’ll finally know exactly what’s inside you, they give you awesome pictures. I hope you get good news

It’s normal to feel anxious before surgery, I did too. But trust that the medication will be least of your worries, it will actually relax you! Use a heating pad on your shoulders after if you have gas pain, it helps a lot! It’ll be alright! You have a good MD and that’s what matters most. Thanks guys. I know I’ll be alright. Just so ready for it to be done ! It’s the build up that’s horrible . It’s gonna be before I go under that I’ll be losing my mind lol
