Is ankle swelling in the 8th and 9th month normal?

I am 36 weeks pregnant and have had some pretty bad swelling in my ankles. My BP has been fine and my protein levels are good as well. Is some swelling normal?

Yeah unfortunately. As long as everything checks out with your numbers. I was swollen so bad the last two months I couldn’t wear shoes. I had one ratty pair of flip flops I could fit into my feet and legs were so swollen. Left the hospital 25 lbs lighter just from the loss of fluid after delivery.

Completely normal! If your face starts swelling that’s when their is cause for concern or if your whole body retains water to where you’re gaining 5+lbs a week.
