Birth control question

So I’ve been on daily birth control for a while now and I know there’s a certain time window it needs to be taken to remain effective. I take it every day around 8am. My husband and I had sex yesterday morning and said he came inside me and pulled out like mid-cum. I took my birth control that morning at 9:30am. I feel like this is a stupid question but I’m just wondering if I’m still protected or not taking it a little bit later that day. Just trying to not freak myself out unnecessarily.
