It CAN happen

I've been on glow for more than a year as a TTC in 40s...and was always looking for inspiration when I was feeling down about this process. Positive stories really helped me so I'm adding mine.

I'm happy to say that at 42, I am 20 weeks pregnant with a baby boy...so far, all tests have been healthy and normal. We just came back from the 20-week ultrasound today which made everything very real.

This is our second pregnancy--the first ended in miscarriage last year. We were just about to consider IUI and clomid, after a year of trying to conceive...surprise!

I really believe what helped me was weekly acupuncture, Standard Process supplements fertility protocol (carried by alternative health care practitioners), learning that we needed to expand the fertility window to 5-7 days, a network of supportive people...and saying "screw it" to all the negative information that I read that scared the crap out of me. It can happen naturally at our age!

And I wondered what happened to the women who did conceive and disappeared from glow...They have another app called nurture.

Fingers crossed that it works out for us -- and that it works out for all the TTC in their 40s, too.
