So this is my 3rd pregnancy and I NEVER had this with my first two. My boyfriend and I dont have a lot of time or frankly energy to have sex. But even when we do both get in the mood, since entering my second trimester, every time we have sex I get a sharp pain across my entire lower abdomen and the pain is worse when I'm having an orgasm. I know Braxton hicks are normal during or after sex but it doesn't even feel like that, just pain. And it lasts for a good 10-15 minutes after sex. We never finish because my boyfriend recognizes I'm in pain and stops (even if I tell him I can get through it). Which I appreciate but it also sucks because him and I both usually have a high sex drive. I'm 23 weeks along. I do have an anterior placenta this time around so I don't know if that makes a difference. Is this normal? Any tips to fix it? I'm thinking of talking to my midwife about it at my next appointment.
