There's always a chance. Regardless of if its your first or not. Every pregnancy is different. Even women who have multiple children, pregnancy is different each and every time

Due dates are a guide. Baby is 'due' from 37-42 weeks. Or later in some counties. I'm tall and have Scandinavian ancestry, so I'm statistically likely to have a longer gestation. Which has been shown right as my first 2 were born 18 days and 14 days over 40 weeks. This one is expected by I'd around 42 weeks.

My first I went into preterm labor at 33 weeks. Got tons of meds a nice hospital stay and steroids to prepare babies lungs. I have an "irritable uterus" so what everyone kept playing off as just Braxton hicks were actually weeks of real contractions. I spent the last 8 weeks of pregnancy with contraction no more than 20 min apart 24/7 and usually they were 4-5 or less. I was miserable. We lost our second baby and currently 11 weeks with our third doctor says I'll probably have the same issue as before.
