MIL hates me...

LONG POST WARNING!!

So a little back story me and my husband have been together on and off since we was in high school we are now 21 and we got married back in August.

Me and my in laws have never really been close due to a language barrier. My in laws are deaf and since I am not fluent in American Sign Language(ASL) I sometimes have a hard time communicating with them and over the years I have learned a lot but I am still learning.

So a couple of months before me and my husband got married we had been staying with his parents until we could find us a place and it’s hard to find anything around where I live because of the college in my town(small town, big college). So they said it was okay to stay with them til we saved the money. Well we were also trying to save up and help my parents pay for the wedding.

Fast forward to a couple months later after the wedding and we still hadn’t found a place, and at this point my in laws started to talk about me behind my back and to my sister in law. At first I just brushed it off but then it really stared to get to me so we moved in with my parents cause we still can’t afford a place.

Well, a couple of days ago we were over at my in-laws visiting and my husband and them was talk and I was struggling to join in in the conversation cause again not fluent in ASL, so most of the time I just watched tv. After we left my husband had told me that he had seen his mom sign that she hated me, and it honestly hurt. I mean I knew we wasn’t close and she never really treated me like a daughter in law, but dang!

And just ever since then I haven’t really felt welcomed at their home but I’m not gonna keep my husband from seeing them so we still go over there once every week or two.

And I really done know what to do. I haven’t talked to my husband about how I feel about all this cause I do t wanna start anything but it’s really been on my mind lately and I just needed to rant/vent
