For those having boys are you circumcising or not?

I don’t want to and my husband doesn’t care (he’s circumcised) but my mom is judging. My sister is on my side and my husband is neutral

I'm pro circumcision. My husband wasn't and he has an issue where his foreskin didnt grow properly even with pulling it back multiple times a day and it would cut on circulation. He had it done at 16 and the healing process was AWFUL for him. Our son is circumcised and fully healed at 2 weeks and never acted like it bothered him. Do what you think is right, dont let other people bully you one way or another

In NZ circumcision is not common practice. I’ve never known any guys who were circumcised and I don’t know anyone that’s had any issues because they haven’t had it done.

I knew a boy in hs who did it... he didn’t complain before or after the surgery. 
Why not give them the option to do it themselves? What if that’s something he wants? And if he doesn’t he can have the surgery, but personally I’d let them decide. I don’t want to inflict unnecessary pain so young. I know they won’t remember, but you will.

My son will stay intact, just like my other 2 boys. 
With my first son my mom expressed that she thinks it’s “weird” not to circumcise.... I told her it’s a good thing it’s not her decision. She hasn’t mentioned it since.

I work in labor and delivery and have assisted during many circumcisions. The entire process of the procedure typically takes around 30 mins and though it may seem like a very invasive procedure, many of the baby dobt even cry during the process. Local anesthesia is used, i.e. lidocaine, just the initial numbing is usually what makes most babies cry for a few seconds. The after care is pretty simple as well, just ensuring lots of vasoline is used inside babys diaper to prevent irritation. Overall healing time is typically 2 weeks. 
In my opinion it's totally the parents choice, it just seems that the healing process while they're babies is much quicker and not as strenuous versus when they're adults. I feel this is bc as newborns, they dont move around as much since they're swaddled and diapers really help to keep everything in place.

So with our first son I wanted him not to be but my husband pushed really hard for him to be. His reasoning were because most boys are in the USA and he will be teased if other kids found out in school. That most men get infections in late adult hood due to it and having it done as an adult is very painful and a hard recovery. 
As for me my ex from when I studied abroad wasn’t and i actually enjoyed it more. So I was thinking maybe to just keep him natural for his future wife. Lol. 
My husband of course won this battle. Which I am actually really thankful for now. My friend from high school didn’t with her son and she’s already ran into a couple issues with doctors not even knowing the proper way to treat it (like not to pull back the skin until it’s naturally does) and even as toddlers they notice they are different.

This is legit the reason I didn't want a boy....and now I'm having one. I'm so unnecessarily stressed over it. I don't want to get it done, but husband says yes and that he is the guy so he gets to choose....which is a crap excuse to me. Ugh.

Circumcision here in the U.K. is not common practice. I don’t know any guys that have been circumcised nor any that have had issues because of it. I personally don’t get the point...
