Mamaroo?

Question

We had a Fisher Price swing that completely broke after one use, and we are looking into replacement options. The mamaroo has my attention but I’m gun shy about spending a bunch of cash on a piece of machinery that may break on us just like the last one.
If you have a mamaroo, what do you think? What other automatic infant swings do you love?

My two week old uses it daily. I can’t speak to if she will like it in a few months.

Buy a used one! My baby tolerates the one we have, but only for an hour or so before she’s up. I do like how you can rotate the level so they can lay flat or sit up more.

I think it really depends on your baby. I thought my baby would love it, but it's really hit or miss. Usually she would rather lay flat on her back in her bassinet and stare at a ceiling fan than in the mamaroo. I have heard sometimes they like it more when they're a little older though. All that being said, mine was a gift so I did not have to spend anything, and I wouldn't have but I'm glad I have it for those times where it happens to be what she wants. Really hoping she likes it as she grows

My baby isn’t a fan of our mamaroo. He loves the graco dreamglider which makes more of a rocking motion, goes fast enough to soothe him, is flat like a bassinet, and cheaper than the mamaroo.

We have a momaroo. I think it’s cool but our little one is not so crazy about it. Sucks to spend a lot of money on it and it not get used.

I got ours off a buy sell trade site also and only paid $60 and we love it. Our lo sleeps in it during the day for naps.

I LOVED the mamaroo at first but he’s gotten pretty bored of it already.  Had I paid full price, I would be really annoyed.  I found it on the buy sell trade for $15 though so it was worth it.  
I can still put him in it if he’s already asleep though and sometimes get a bit of time to myself because he’ll sleep longer there than in the crib.

A coworker gave us his mama roo, he was done with it. Honestly, my 5 week old is totally not interested in it at all. I’m hanging on to it until he’s a little bigger before I give up and donate it or something.
