Flu shot

Thoughts on flu shots? I'm not sure if I should get one. I'm 33 weeks pregnant. I've heard both pros and cons so I don't know what to do. I have a dr. Appointment in the morning and not sure what to tell them.

Getting the flu shot while you are pregnant can help protect your baby up to six months after birth. People like to say there haven't been studied on the flu shot and pregnant women. That's not true. Do a simple search of the CDC or NIH.

Per my OB, I got the prego safe one, also known as preservative free. Not every pharmacy carries it but flu can cause major issues for babies and we aren't risking it. Definitely get it but make sure it's the preservative free one!
