Bragging on myself a little


I'm down a full 40 pounds since March

190-->150. I'm super short so, I still have quite a ways to go (20-30lb) to get to a "healthy range" but, feeling so good about myself.

This is the slow go of postpartum weight loss ladies (3 kids). 9 months to put it on, a year to take it off.

Give yourself time, acknowledge the small changes, and accept that gaining back a little along the journey is your body doing what it should. Science and anthropology says weight loss is not something our bodies are supposed to accept easily. Back when our ancestors were living in caves and eating once a day, weight loss meant death, just because our access to food has evolved doesn't mean our bodies have. The slower the weight loss the healthier the transition and the more permanent it will be.
