Is it bad to only have one child ?

I always thought I wanted a full team of kids but after having one I feel complete. I love her so much and really dont think I want anymore. Maybe I'll change my mind as time goes on. I feel kind of guilty making her an only child though. I was never close to my sister growing up though 🤷‍♀️

I loved growing up an only child but I had a cousin who was like a sister and that’s all I needed. I just had my first baby and tbh after that it’ll take me a long time to wanna do this again lol

Before I got pregnant we went back and forth with the idea of maybe two
Then I got pregnant and I hated being pregnant so much so we were like “ehhhh maybe this is it”
Then we found out we were having a boy and my husband is desperate for a girl so we’re back on the “maybe two” train again
I had my son 10 days ago and I was telling my mom I don’t know if I can have another one
One I love him so much I don’t want to have to share my attention with two but also, NEWBORNS ARE HARD 😂 I don’t wanna go through that again 😂

Not at all! I was the same way after my first baby. I was dead set on having no more kids lol. She had just turned 4 when we decided to have another. But it’s not bad at all to not want more or to wait. You have to do what’s best for you and your family dynamic.

We probably would’ve stuck at one if her cousins lived nearby but now we’ve had her brother I can’t imagine him not being here

At the end of the day it’s up to you. If an only child spends time with kids of their own age what does it matter 🤷‍♀️. Though in saying that, I couldn’t imagine my life without my brother and sister!

I feel horrible because my son is going to grow up like an only child.  His sisters are 14 and 16.  It’s almost made me reconsider not having more 😫 I really do feel as if our family is complete at the same time though and am very happy being able to give him so much love and attention and not split it with younger siblings.

I can't imagine growing up without my sister, so I won't do that to my own child. It's totally up to you, and no one can tell you how to feel about it or that you're wrong
