Pumping while sick?

Hey ladies. First time mom here. I have a pretty gnarly cold right now and I’m wondering if I should save the breastmilk I’m pumping or just dump it. I don’t want to get my kiddo sick down the line if I freeze bad breastmilk. 
I’m definitely still going to pump so I don’t get engorged, I just need to know if I should toss it out or not.

Definitely save it!!! It has antibodies against the cold youre fighting, so by giving it to your little one they are less likely to become sick. Just make sure youre careful not to touch the milk with unclean hands or something. Good luck and i hope you feel better soon!

You can still breastfeed or pump and bottle feed your baby your breastmilk while sick. It’s actually recommended to help them from getting sick.

If anything keep nursing and/or pumping like normal, that way baby gets the antibodies you make and are better protected. So no need to pump and dump.
