Breast reduction before pregnancy

Lyss

Hi ladies! I’m into my 6th month of pregnancy and wanted some feedback from people who have been through a similar situation. I had just graduated high school and was 18 when I had my breasts reduced. I was a size I and had to special order bras. Needless to say, I was ALWAYS uncomfortable. I still have scarring in between my boobs from the weight of my pre-reduction boobs and it was causing all sorts of back pain and neck/shoulder pain. Of course, one of the things mentioned prior to surgery was that breastfeeding may or may not be possible once I got pregnant from them moving so much tissue around and rearranging the ducts. I just started to notice my nipples getting darker (even though it’s typically an early symptom of pregnancy). My OB is unsure of whether or not I will produce milk to breastfeed, so I was wondering if anyone had success with it post-reduction?! I am now a size DD (borderline DDD with this pregnancy) and am just trying to best prepare myself. I have some nerve sensitivity, also, so that’s another concern of mine with pumping and feeding. Please let me know of your experiences or experiences of people you know! Thanks so much ☺️
