Keep my daughter in your thoughts

We brought Evangeline to the hospital last night due to some weird breathing patterns and ended up finding out that she has coarctation of the aorta, which means she has a narrowing on the aortic valve that doesn’t allow blood to flow properly through her little body. Luckily we caught it in time that we were able to keep a special valve only fetuses have in the womb, up until 7 days post birth, that allows blood to bypass that narrowing a little. Unfortunately she will need to have surgery and be put on bypass during the surgery. They are going to go through her chest, she also has a bicuspid aortic valve and a rather large hole in her heart. They are going to repair the hole while they repair the narrowing and monitor the bicuspid. Surgery will be tomorrow. for now, she is trying to rest while on a cpap machine and tons of other monitors. My mommy heart hurts so much for her and I feel completely helpless not being able to fix it for her 😩
