When do you count DPO ?

Do you use the calendar because it says you ovulated that day or go off when you received positive test or when temp went up ?  My test was positive on 19th but calendar says ovulated on 20th.  Temp went up after that.  I did use another calendar it said ovulated on 18th. I guess I’m not sure to use predicted calendar or test positive.

You missed too many days to confirm w bbt, so go by the day you got a positive opk. If you got a positive today tomorrow would be 1dpo. 
For future reference if you log bbt everyday you ovulated the day of the lower temps after seeing a spike for 3 days maintained after that date. It would confirm ovulation the day of the lower temp.

I usually go by the day I get positive cause I do my test at 5am and I usually test negative the next day or high.

When the test is positive start dpo. I don’t go by apps. Only estimation. When you get clear thin stretchy cm, you’re ovulating and begin counting
