Pregnant on birth control

I can't seem to find an answer to this via Google. I plan on taking a test tomorrow, but out of curiosity, if you get pregnant while on the pill, will you still have a period on the placebo week? My last couple periods have been MUCH lighter and just...different from my normal periods and I've been on birth control for AGES. Less blood and more slick, clear discharge. No cramps.
