Anyone else become itchy??

The past few days the bottoms of my feet, fingers, and palms have become itchy. Is this a common symptom for 33 weeks? Should I contract my Midwife and ask her about it?

If it's just in those areas the you need to speak to your drs/midwife for a blood test as it could be a certain condition but I cant remember the name of it. Choliectisis or something like that it's called. If you have itching else where plus those areas then it's not that.

Sounds like choliestasis and requires diagnosis from a doctor through blood work. Is it worse at night? Do you have any other abdominal pain? My gf (who was due on Thanksgiving) was diagnosed with this, got the result after her bloodwork took 5 days, and was induced that same day. Definitely get it checked out!

I have the same thing but itchy all over. Back, face, arms, legs. Literally everywhere. I had to stop my iron pills over the weekend to figure out if that’s what’s causing it. If not, I need to go in for a blood test to test for Cholestasis. It’s a liver condition that you can develop in pregnancy. It’s dangerous because it can cause your baby to be stillborn, so they have to deliver at 37 weeks with no exceptions. Make sure you talk to your doctor ASAP. Especially where you’re having itchiness in the most common areas found with cholestasis.

PLEASE call your doctor for a blood test ASAP. Those are all symptoms of cholestasis which can be very life threatening to baby if left untreated. I had it with my first and was induced early.

Omg I didn’t even know this was a thing ! Hope yirueok ! How can we tell if it’s normal dry skin itch or is it like uncontrollable itch in these common areas that causes cholestaisi ?

Yes I be itching a lot I’ve had blood work done and all my test came back great but then again I don’t moisture a lot either
