Mild cramping

Is it normal to have mild cramping on and off the first few weeks of pregnancy? Especially around your missed period? I found out two nights ago I’m pregnant and I keep having mild cramping on and off that I was also having a week before my missed period. I’m assuming it’s from implantation? Sorry if there’s any confusion, I tried my best to explain my situation.
