How many weeks for growth scan?

I’m 33 weeks, wondering when I’ll get a growth scan or an updated ultrasound? My doctors haven’t spoken a word of it but see people posting their babies current weight who are the same if not further behind than me in weeks.

It depends on your situation. I am high risk and I have twice a week ultrasounds now. But every three weeks they will do a growth scan. It depends on your needs and health insurance

Most only scan twice due to insurance/ not medically necessary.  This was my first time having a growth scan in pregnancy and it's only bc I want to have a vbac and my Dr. is debating on the baby's weight bc I never delivered a baby over 5lbs on my own. 
It's totally normal of you do not receive another US.

From my understanding is youll only have a growth scan if the baby is measuring a considerable difference. I'm 31 weeks and baby is measuring 28 weeks according to my midwife so im booked in for a growth scan on Friday.

The only reason I had one was because my first had been a scheduled c-section from being breech and she thought this one might have been as well and I was measuring ahead 3 weeks so she wanted to check growth as I have GD

The only reason I got a growth scan at 32 weeks was because I was measuring 4 weeks ahead (from measuring fundus height) and I’d been measuring 2-3 weeks ahead the whole pregnancy. Otherwise I would only had my dating scan at 12 weeks and my anatomy scan at 20 weeks

My doctor said it’s standard to have the growth scan at 34 weeks. However not all doctors think it’s mandatory and don’t require one unless your anatomy scan shows that babe is either smaller or larger than their gestation. 
Bring it up at your next appointment if you want to know about your doctors position and ask if you can get one for piece of mind. 😊

My first I only had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and another at 20 weeks and that was it. 
This time I’ve had 5 ultrasounds. My growth one at 32 weeks being my final. 
It’s just whatever policy the doctor has.
