keloid scars?

I will be getting two moles removed from my head soon and I’m worried about keloid scars. I’ve never gotten them before so I’m not prone to them and no one in my family has gotten them, does that make any change to the chance of me getting one or is there no way of knowing? and is there a way to avoid them?

Have you had to be cut on before? If you’re not prone to them you should be ok! Sometimes they can happen, this happened to me when I had to have a mole removed from my shoulder but that one went away! Although, I have had to have one removed multiple times from my earlobe. But there’s good news, I had to have the one cut out of my earlobe and had minuscule radiation therapy to get rid of it for good. It’s been two years and it’s never returned. My only problem is a bit of my earlobe is missing but it’s better than having a giant keloid hanging from my ear! Just talk to your doc and see what they say!
