when is labor most common for a FTM ?

this is my first baby and i’ve heard from a lot of family members that when you have your first baby they are most known for coming past your due date (late). so i was just wondering if maybe this was a coincidence in my family or if it being the first pregnancy really does have an effect on birth date. 
i just can’t wait to meet my baby boy and ive been counting down the days until my due date and i just want to have hope that maybe he will come a little before or on time so i don’t have to keep waiting 😂

It depends. Preeclampsia is more common in a first pregnancy than later ones and can actually cause early labor or even being induced early.

I was always told later. 
But I had my son at 36 weeks as a ftm. 
He was healthy and normal birth weight. 😊

I was told the same thing now I had to be induced at 38. 
I was also told being a FTM and getting induced my labor would take forever. I was only in labor 4 hours, 50 minutes active labor, one push. 
And I got an epidural which was apparently going to “force me” to have a csection🙃
Idk why people like to freak new moms out!
