Does anyone love being a SAHM

Question

I’m considering leaving my job as i just had my second baby and I’m really stretched thin in childcare. I live in NYC and an 8 hour work day is usually a 12 hour day with commuting, Traffic etc and it’s just too much. i have been searching the posts here and i see so many negative ones. Does anyone love it?

I don’t love it everyday....but why would I bust my ass to work, to pay daycare and get no quality time with my kids on the weekend?

I love it. It’s all about filling your day with things to do such as playing with your lo, chores, working out, going out, etc. and then it’s nice to have those lazy days. I definitely enjoy seeing my baby grow and just connecting with her and having our little routines

It’s a bit bitter sweet I would say. I love it and being home to encounter all these different growth moments with my boys but it can get a bit lonely and tiresome. When my husband gets home it’s like he’s off the job but my job keeps going. It would probably be better if I had the means to join some mom groups while the kids play but we only have one vehicle and those things can be expensive where I live. What I will say is that it is a better choice for us right now than having our kids in daycare because I am in my last semester of school but as soon as I’m able to go back to work I will. Someone gifted to care for children well take over from there.

Nope, I love my kids full hearted, but miss my job and adult interaction.
