It's a Girl!!

Lia Elizabeth was born at 7:46 pm on Tuesday, October 20th after almost 18 hours of labor. She weighs 7 lbs 15 oz and is 21 inches long. We're in love with her!

I had a rough delivery because I was so exhausted from labor, so the doctor used the vacuum to assist. My poor little girl has a temporary cone head. Also, I developed a fever right before it was time to push. They gave me antibiotics to try and lower it but it was too late. Sweet little Lia spent her first 6 hours in the NICU to monitor her breathing and temperature as a result. Luckily she is back in my arms and we're learning how to breastfeed!
