Brown blood is old blood, so no need to go to the ER now. Call your doctor when you get the chance and let them know. There are a few things that can cause bleeding during pregnancy without miscarriage, but they may want to check you to be safe.
If you start bleeding heavily or having severe cramping/abdominal pain, then head to the ER.

I'm no expert so I wouldn't like to say, I personally feel there would  be more blood, but that's me assuming.
Please go and get checked
