Did your placenta look weird?

I had my daughter 3 months ago and my fiance JUST showed me the pictures he took. I was in the room for both my niece and nephews births and the placentas didnt look like this. Idk why but I feel.like mine was frickin huge and also weirdly shaped. 
What did yours look like?

I didn’t want to look at mine but my doctor said it looked old and was starting to calcify.. I was induced at 39.4 so it wasn’t a good thing😬😂

I didnt take a picture but it was pretty big and it was heart shaped! It was awesome but weird 😂

I think shapewise it looks a bit odd just from the way it is folded. Did you by any chance have anemia, diabetes or high blood pressure in the pregnancy? Sometime those things can contribute to a larger placenta, and some pregnancies just have a bigger placenta for no reason at all. My ob commented at delivery that I had a big healthy placenta, and I also had a good sized boy at 9lb 9oz. The mysteries of life 😊

Omg this is so interesting yet so weird at the same time! I sort of wondered what mine looked like when it went plopping out but they carted it away before I could catch a peek!
