Help! Should I be concerned ?!!

My dad and I are prone to cold sores.. I don’t kiss my baby at all who is 6 months... my ada cam by today ( he had no visible cold sores) and he kiss my on her hand!! 😳I washed her had right away she put in on her mouth!! No I’m worry of her getting the virus 😞 I do have postpartum anxiety 🤷‍♀️I don’t know if it’s just that or should I be concerned?!!

I’m prone to cold sores but I get them on my hands and other parts of my face, not around my mouth. I can’t avoid touching my baby for fear I could have a cold sore coming. Just be vigilant if you have an outbreak

I would check with your dr but I'm pretty sure as long as you do not have an active cold sore it should be fine.

I cannot imagine not kissing my baby!! I also get cold sores. It seems 'cruel' to me not to deny your baby that type of affection.
