Well, today I am pretty annoyed with my MIL. A little back story: I’ve been married for 10 years to my husband and am pretty close with his family and very close to mine. Recently, his family built and moved into my hometown across the country. We are stationed here for one more year and to save some money and have help with the upcoming twins, we moved in with them about two months ago. Things have been fine. Nothing too crazy... and yes I get annoyed here and there, but I am very grateful that I have them in our lives and that they want us here with them and are wanting to help us with the babies. However, I don’t think that it constitutes for her airing out my medical issues to people I wouldn’t normally tell on my own account, as I’m doing now on an app, where I feel supported and understood. So, this is what happened...

She started seeing my hairdresser at Ulta that I’ve been going to for about 5 years now. She loves her and says she does a good job on her hair. Yesterday she went to get her hair done by said hairdresser. My older sister just so happened to be in the chair a few seats down and I guess she didn’t notice my sister sitting there for about 20 minutes or so after talking about me and my personal business. I don’t know how I even came up or what would compel someone to share someone else’s business, but apparently my sister said that she told the hairdresser and those surrounding her that I had had two UTI’s and a yeast infection since my pregnancy started. 😠 Although, this is true... WHY would you tell my hairdresser that. My sister said my hairdressers mouth dropped and her eyes got big as she said, “I don’t think she would want anyone knowing all of that though.” And my MIL stopped talking about it, I guess. She then realized that my sister was sitting a few chairs down and then proceeded to talk to her here and there just about random stuff and the upcoming holidays. I am mortified. The only reason my MIL knew about my medical info is bc I had to leave the house due to contractions that started due to the infections and when I came hone, she was wondering what happened and whatnot. Didn’t think I’d have to tell her, “well I had a UTI, but DON’T TELL ANYONE!” My sister informed me of this today and she also asked that I don’t tell my MIL any personal business of hers as she is worried she will share her information, too.

Am I wrong for being upset? I don’t want to confront her as I don’t want my sister to look bad for relaying the info to me, but I’m really pissed.
