How long did/will you wait until you start thinking about adoption?

We considered it before fertility issues, but once we decided to try it was hard to "give up". Especially with everyone around us getting pregnant easily :/

We have both male and female infertility so we are planning to start the adoption process in 4 years as soon as we buy a house Instead of ttc. We wont be using protection so if somehow I end up pregnant we'd be over the koon to have both a biological and adopted child ❤ right now we are looking at doing foster to adopt, and willing to take sibling groups up to 3 kids 😊

Im still in the early stages of having our fertility testing. I think we're likely to need ivf. When we got his initial results through it went through my mind. I would but I don't think my partner is as keen. We have family who have been adopted so I think we could explain it well and openly to an adopted child. We'll have to see..

It took us 8 years to decide to start looking into it. And we have had 2 failed adoptions so far ;-( very frustrating and sad. And have fostered a little boy who was 2 weeks old who ended up going to live with family.

We wanted to adopt before our infertility...and now are working on our third foster care adoption. Still haven't given up on biological kid dreams yet though. Message me with any questions.

We already thought about it but logistically it's going to be far more difficult and expensive than IVF because IVF is partially covered by insurance so it doesn't make sense for us even though I want to adopt. I think we spoke about it before we even got engaged because I wanted to make sure we would be on the same page before committing to having children together but I am an A type make a plan for every outcome lunatic XD lol
