Baby chokes?

Hi after I feed my 3 week old daughter I try to burp her and it seems she starts choking on her burp ?? If that makes any sense... sometimes it takes forever to burp her. I’ll burp her sitting on my lap holding her chin and then she starts choking and it scares the crap out of me. Nothing comes up when she starts choking so I’m not sure what she’s choking on. ???

Are you holding her upright straight when you are burping? The air needs to be able to come out sometime its trapped because of posture or look up different ways to burp the baby I used to sit mine in my lap sitting up with my hand holding under her chin and use my other hand to rub from the bottom of her back to the top and she usually burped prettyeasy. Patting didn't work for her .

By choking do you mean coughing? Because that’s not choking. But, if she’s coughing or actually choking I’d definitely pet her doctor know.
