Baby will only sleep on me & breastfeeds 1-2 hours at night. 5 & half month old does it get better 😩

Hi Mamas

I am struggling with my baby’s routine she is 5 and half months old and since birth only sleeps on my chest if I her put her down in crib or bed she cries hysterically and wants to be back on me, as she has got bigger she is finding it hard to get comfortable on me but still wants to sleep on me she fusses till she falls asleep. This means I am sleeping in sitting up position and having done so for so long has been causing pain in my tail bone area 😩 when she falls asleep and I place in crib or on bed she knows.

Throughout the night she wants feeding every hour to two hours, burping then settling back on chest. Which means I hardly get any sleep. This feeding routine started at 4 months old and just gets worse.

I have plenty of milk and she is chunking up nicely. Just the 3-4 hours stretch sleep she used to have prior to 4 months old has stopped.

I’m finding it hard to continue with this and running on empty energy and it is frustrating.

My husband has her in the morning feeds her purée and entertains her whilst I sleep for a few hours. I want to continue breastfeeding just this routine is draining me.

Any advice or someone who has experienced this how did you manage any words of comfort or advice would be appreciated. TIA mamas ☺️
