2 day old/ umbilical questions

What do I do? I’m so annoyed I called the hospital that my daughter was born at and they won’t transfer me to a nurse because she isn’t a patient there even tho I was told the day of discharge that I could call if I had any questions.

My daughter is 2 days old and had a runny poop diaper and some of it manage to go up the front and around her umbilical cord. I used water and stops to clean it up the best I could. Do I need take her to the hospital to have it looked at? I’m calling her pediatrician In the am for her newborn check up which she will be seen tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. I just don’t want it getting infected and something happening to her.
