Did my mom give our son diarrhea?

My mom watched our son on Friday night and she told us she gave him a *teeny* bit of milk. He is not ready for milk, he is 10.5 months old and he barely eats food LOL and ever since then, he has awful diapers! Is this related or coincidence?

10.5 months is old enough to introduce milk. I feel like the only way he could be having tummy problems from it is if she gave way too much or he has a sensitivity to cows milk. Either way, she shouldn’t have done that without your permission.

How much milk did she actually give him? I agree with the other comment. There is no way to know. Could be related or could be a coincidence. I would imagine if it was the milk the diarrhea wouldn’t have lasted more than a day or two if it upset his stomach but I’m not a doctor. Could be something else or even a stomach bug or something. But I would definitely tell your mom not to give him anymore milk because it’s not recommended until age one. When he does start to drink milk just monitor and see how he reacts to it in case he does have some sort of sensitivity or intolerance.
