Lying about abortion

I have an appointment with Planned Parenthood scheduled for next week Wednesday for an abortion. It's already set in stone and I'm not changing my mind about this.

Anyways, before I scheduled my appointment, I had talked to some people (coworkers, online friends, etc) and told them about my pregnancy, but not that I planned on terminating.

I was wondering, if they ask me after the fact how I'm doing with the pregnancy... would it be okay to tell them that I had miscarried instead of saying I had an abortion? I know it's a sensitive topic, so I feel like it would be harmless and spare some bitter emotions, especially since I'm not 100% sure on everyone's views on it.

I'm about 7-8 weeks along, but I heard it's not exactly super rare to miscarry around that time...
