My sister in law named her son Brayden and they call him "Bray" as a nickname. My husband  and I are thinking of trying for a 2nd child and I've recently started loving the name Gray/Grey for a boy. But it obviously rhymes with my nephew's nickname. They live near us so it's an unavoidable comparison if we actually went for it. I feel like the name is out and too close even though the actual names don't rhyme. Would you go for it or let it go?

My sons name is Grayson! That might be a compromise since it has gray in it but it’s different enough from Brayden/Bray. You can spell it a few different ways as well like Greyson, Graysen, Greysen.

My nephew and his cousin were born three days apart. My nephew is Colton and the cousin is Carson. My cousin and I discussed baby names one day. I have had Scarlet Ann picked out for forever and she was thinking of Charlotte Ann. We planned to call them Letty and Charlie but still they’d be similar. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.
